Urban Outfitters,
one of my favourite stores (because of their lovely lovely designs), are apparently assholes. And we don’t like assholes. The workers at Urban Outfitters in Stockholm wanted a collective labor agreement, simple terms, they wanted rights and a better working environment. So they went to the union. Who talked to UO. Who answered with saying ”Oh, we have an idea, why don’t we give the workers a choice? Either they start working for a staffing company that we rent them from, or they quit! Awesome, now we can treat them even worse, yaaay!”. So, Urban Outfitters are assholes, and I shall no longer buy clothes from their store (which is a big thing coming from me, since, as I said, I love their clothes.), and neither should you! Boycott Urban Outfitters now! Join the group on facebook, and Urban Outfitters fan page on facebook to tell them ”Shame on you”. If enough people do this, maybe they’ll understand that this is not how you behave if you want to earn respect from your customers.

Nice one! Tydligen så är Urban Outfitters även kända för att SNO oetablerade designers arbeten och inte ge dem cred eller betalt för det (kanske en anledning till att de alltid har snygga kläder??) Alltså ytterligare en anledning att bojkotta. Fortsätt så!! Det finns mycket skit i klädindustrin som man kanske vill fundera på innan nästa shoppingrunda; barnarbete, ingen respekt för mänskliga rättigheter (där faktiskt fackliga rättigheter ingår), miljöförstöring mm. Inte meningen att föreläsa..tänk efter och bojkotta!! :)

Japp, jag har också hört det. Helt sjukt elakt! När de istället kunde hjälpa dessa oetablerade designers genom samarbete och samtidigt få goodwill på köpet (och nu tänker jag helt affärsmässigt, vad jag skulle gjort om jag var ett stort multinationellt företag som ville tjäna pengar). Problemet är att skulle jag bojkotta alla företag som var hemska/inte pk så skulle jag antingen få handla bara second hand (gör jag ju nästan iofs ändå), eller väldigt dyra saker som typ vamlingbolaget eller nåt sånt. och tja, jag kanske är hemsk när jag säger det, men 1. mitt klädberoende skulle inte klara det första. 2. min plånbok (har inte ens en plånbok) skulle inte klara det andra. Jag bojkottar UO nu för att stödja arbetarna där, men jag lär inte klara av att bojkotta t ex h&m och top shop också. det är för snyggt och för billigt för att jag skall kunna motstå.
