I love windows. Old windows in old buildings with thick walls, so you can sit in the window.

Where I stay at the moment, at my friend Johan’s place, there are windows you can sit in. And in the kitchen you’re allowed to smoke in the window. So at night, I sit in the window, listen to Anna Ternheim’s sad and beautiful songs, and I dangle my legs in the cold, snowfilled air. It’s so peaceful, the quiet streets, the roofs white from snow, and far away the harbour with it’s lights (I think it’s the harbour, I’m not quite sure…). Anyway it’s beautiful. It gives me hope. I’m gonna take pictures for you soon. Tomorrow night I think.

Speaking of hope. Siri called today. She filled me with hope. I’m a lost girl. Homeless and rootless. But I’ve got hope again. Everything is gonna be fine, I know it.

Anywhere I lay my head, gonna call my home.

Her cover of the Tom Waits song wasn’t on youtube, so here’s two other ones. Even if Aynwhere I lay My Head is the one who fits right now. It’s still the song of today.
